Laura Wooley joined IDP as a hotline attorney in 2023. Prior to coming to IDP, she advised non-citizens in criminal proceedings as a Padilla Attorney at Brooklyn Defender Services and served as an Immigrant Justice Corps fellow at Atlas: DIY, where she represented young people in immigration applications and removal proceedings. Originally from Cincinnati, Laura received a dual Juris Doctor/Master of Social Work from Fordham University. She enjoys playing capoeira and DIY-ing everything that can be cooked, built, grown, or made.
